Falcyyr production updates, Saturday, September 29

After a week off from filming we were back in the swing this weekend completing costumes for the Y’buut priestesses played by Theresa Dern, Lisa Brangiforte and Courtney Fitz. This Saturday was spent finishing costumes and rehearsing lines for Courtney’s upcoming scene with the Valkyries and their introduction to their horses. Here’s a couple of images from Saturday:

We need to raise funds to purchase better filming and editing equipment and will also go to other production costs (such as costuming, location and lighting equipment) as we are already stretched very thin! Please contribute what you can and encourage your friends and family to check out Falcyyr and be a part of this beautiful film. All contributors will be recognized in the credits of the film and will receive gifts from us when production is complete!

Valkyries and Gypsies, Falcyyr production photos September 8, 2012

Lots more costuming stuff today (LOTS more). We spent most of the day today working on the “training outfits” for the 5 main Valkyries and the gowns for the Y’buut Priestesses (thank you to Theresa Dern and Lisa Brangiforte for your help and patience today with more costuming stuff!). The three Valkyries who’s training outfits were completed were taken out to Hearts & Horses to be photographed with the Gypsy Horses they will be riding in the film (and the two Valkyries who’s costumes were not yet finished got to play with the Gypsy foals while we took pictures and shot some footage). Click on images to enlarge.

Three of the Valkyrie women of Falcyyr testing out their “training outfits” (one of their costumes for the movie) with the horses they will be riding in the film. Shown are Jessica Risbara with Stella, Sinari Diliiza with Roscrea and Theis Orion with Nenagh (also in the photo are Roscrea’s foal Kingsley in front and Nenagh’s colt Tux behind). The horses are the beautiful Gypsy and Drum horses provided to us for use in the film by Stephanie Keene of Gypsy Horses of New England.

Falcyyr costume-testing on horseback, Wednesday September 5 2012

Yesterday we did a costume test for the horse bonding scene in Falcyyr (where the newly appointed Valkyrie meet their warhorses for the first time) to see if the actress is comfortable in costume while riding the horse. Sinari wore her “Valkyrie training” outfit during our riding lesson today and it looked and worked great!

Actress Sinari Diliiza doing a test-run in one of the costumes she will be wearing for her role in Falcyyr. It worked great! Sinari is riding Roscrea, the Gypsy Vanner mare from Gypsy Horses of New England who will be her mount in the film.

Here’s Sinari in the Valkyrie “training outfit” on Roscrea outside after her ride. Looks good!

Sinari and Roscrea take a moment after a good ride.

Please help us continue this beautiful project by contributing to our fundraiser. All contributions will go immediately toward production costs (we are in need of funds for filming and editing equipment and costuming supplies) and you will be thanked in the film for your help. Costume-making for Falcyyr, September 1, 2012

We spent our regular Saturday film-day working on costumes last weekend. Thank you so much to Charlie Alejandro, Theresa Dern, Lisa Brangiforte, and Nadine McIntyre for helping out with costume creation today (in addition to the regular home-team of Z, Sinari, Siira, Kazi and Theis of course!). We got some great work done on gowns for the Y’buut priestesses, made further progress on the Valkyrie training outfits and started on wings for Valkyrie armor–and had a lot of fun doing it!

Lisa Brangiforte doing what she loves most ;) –cutting cloth to a pattern for a costume for Falcyyr where she will be playing a Y’buut Priestess. Thanks to you and Theresa Dern for your help today (they spent lots of time cutting wings for Valkyrie Armour with Sinari and Nadine Lena Valkyrie as well)!

Nirakazi and Charlie Alejandro working hard sewing costumes for Falcyyr. Great job, we got a lot of good work done today!

Falcyyr production images August 25, 2012

We did lots of filming and production work yesterday–we started early and went most of the day! We are very glad to have Theresa Dern and Lisa Brangiforte with us today, and also Sam Scola and his wife Mary as well (not to mention our main cast of Valkyries). Getting lots done (with a WHOLE lot of work left to do!). Thanks everyone for being with us yesterday, we’re very glad to have you all! (click on each image to view it full-size)

Shooting for one of actress Shelly “Nunchucks” Finnegan’s scenes in Falcyyr yesterday featuring Theresa Dern, Sam Scola, Shelly “Nun Chucks” Finnegan, Lisa Brangiforte and Mary Scola.

We had a fun time filming for Falcyyr yesterday with a great group of people. This was after shooting in front of the green screen for some back shots of villagers to be added to a scene. From left to right are: Sam Scola, Mary Scola, Lisa Brangiforte, Theresa Dern, Maeven Tracey and Shelly “Nun Chucks” Finnegan.

As you may already know we are a small, independent film company producing a big feature film and every bit of what we are doing comes out-of-pocket! We are currently in need of funds so we can purchase better filming and editing equipment and costuming supplies. Please contribute to our fundraiser and be a part of this beautiful project. If you have friends and family you think might be interested in Falcyyr let them know too! Everyone who contributes will be credited in the film and contributors will also receive goodies like posters, t-shirts when production is through in thanks for helping us out.

We are also actively seeking investors for Falcyyr. If you or someone you know has a business or a product they would like to see appear in the film please contact us directly. Small and large business investors will have their product or business appear in the final credit scroll, on our websites and promotional materials and also possibly in the film itself (where it can fit in the storyline). There are many options for business investors that will benefit both of us. Please contact us directly for more information.
